Welcome to the Doghouse Cricket Club

Doghouse CC was set up in 1962 to give players from local leagues a chance to play an extra game every Sunday. The team play across the North East every weekend and have used 12 Test cricketers in our 43 years of playing in Durham, Northumberland and Yorkshire. The Doghouse are ambassadors for the game of cricket throughout the region and we are well known for our spirit both on and off the field.

Doghouse 12 Test Cricketers

Since Doghouse Cricket Club started in 1962 we have had 12 Test match cricketers represent the team. Players from England, West Indies, Pakistan, India and South Africa have all played for the team at some stage. Most recently, former West Indies Captain Jimmy Adams played for Doghouse, a man who scored 6 Test hundreds. Chris Old of England, who played in the 1981 Ashes victory, is just another famous name to have joined us at some stage.
